This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
What a beauty we have here! This is Baby Girl, and the way she looks at the camera it's almost like she knows how beautiful she is! We believe she is an Eskimo Dog mix, between 1 and 2 years old. She is a great girl that was originally rescued by Animal Control from a neglectful situation, then she was adopted by a family with children. They lived near a busy highway and Baby Girl would sometimes run out the door. They were afraid that she would get hit by a car so they thought it would be best if they surrendered her back to the shelter. Baby Girl does well with other dogs, and she has been cat tested. She showed no aggression towards kitties and would be fine with cats, especially with reinforcement from her human and ample integration time. We also do not know if she is house trained, but she was kept indoors so it's likely that she is. She seems good on a leash but will need basic obedience training. She has moderate to high energy and since she does try to escape she would do best in a secured fenced-in yard, either chain link or privacy, and 5 to 6 feet high. Baby girl is playful, friendly and would love to be cuddled and included in family fun. She can be quite vocal when she sees her people but can't be with them. This can be corrected with training. Baby Girl is waiting for her perfect family to come along, and if you can give her everything she is looking for and more, please fill out an application.
