Let the fun begin! This sweet girl is Bangles, she is one of four sisters from the Aster litter! They were born around 1/24/2016 and look to be a Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix. There are two sisters with short black fur and two with more of a longer coat. They were around 5 weeks old when someone had left them in a field behind a shelter. The property owner informed the shelter to go pick them up before something bad happened to them. Being a mixed breed, we don't know for sure how big they will be as adults, but we estimate they will be medium to large in size. They are good with other dogs and children, but we do do not know how they are with cats. Bangles has short black fur, and is shy when meeting new people. It doesn't take her long to open up to be the happy puppy she is. She is good in the car, but she does get car sick sometimes (she may outgrow this). She likes to play and swim, and she would really love a kiddie pool to splash around in this summer. Bangles would love to have a fenced-in yard, and it would be a great way for her to get the needed exercise and play that will keep her a healthy and happy dog. If not, she will need lots of leash walks and trips to a dog park for off-leash fun. So far Bangles has typical puppy energy, she isn't super playful but not mellow - she is right in between. Bangles is house trained, crate trained and leash trained, but she may have a few accidents at first, as she will probably need a little time to get to know her new family and surroundings. We strongly encourage basic obedience training for all our puppies, as it not only helps your puppy blossom into a well balanced canine citizen with good manners, but it also helps to form a lasting bond between the puppy and the humans in the family. The more time and energy you invest in your puppy now, the more likely you will have a great family companion who is welcome at family gatherings and in public for many years to come. Adopters should plan to spend plenty of time playing with your new puppy, showing her basic commands, tricks and skills, socializing her with new situations and dogs, and giving her plenty of free play and working play (like pack walks).
