This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
This sweet litter of 10 puppies (5 females and 5 males) was left at the gate of a southern shelter in the middle of the night when temperatures were still in the low teens. The pups were tiny and just a little over a month old. Fortunately at midnight, there was an unrelated call to a volunteer for her to go back to the shelter and when she did she found the litter of puppies and saved them from freezing to death. These puppies and their "miracle" rescue even made local news that night, and as local people were hearing about the cruelty of some, the rest of the world was hearing for the first time that the legend David Bowie passed away. The volunteers thought it would be fitting to name the litter of puppies after the artist, and as a tribute to his legacy.
These puppies are cute as can be and we believe they are a Shepherd/Hound mix. They are a ball of energy and very playful.They are great with everyone including other dogs, adults and children and they will be so much fun for an active family who has the time and energy for them. They are well socialized and eat up attention. We strongly encourage basic obedience training for all our puppies, as it not only helps your puppy blossom into a well balanced canine citizen with good manners but it also helps to form a lasting bond between your puppy and the humans in your family. The more time and energy you invest in your puppy now, the more likely you will have a great family companion who is welcome at family gatherings and in public for many years to come. Adopters should plan to spend plenty of time playing with your new puppy training her basic commands, tricks, skills like leash-, crate-, and house training, socializing them with new situations and dogs, and giving them plenty of free play and working play (like pack walks). A tired dog is a happy dog.
This little rockstar is Ziggy! Ziggy is a handsome guy being almost all black and with a hint of white on his chin and chest. Ziggy likes to play and swim and would love to have a home and fenced-in yard where he has a lot of safe space to run, run and run!
