Hello there, my name is Taki and I'm in need of a home to call my own! So let me tell you a little about myself. I am just a young'un born around October 1, 2015, and believed to be a Chihuahua/Min Pin mix. I don't recognize my name yet so you can change my name and call me anything you want to. I am brown with a little bit of white on my chest, and I have eyes that will melt your heart. I am a bit bow-legged which doesn't cause me any problems, I think it makes me look even cuter! I just LOVE toys that squeak! I will carry them around and I love to chase after them when they are thrown. I can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but it doesn't take long for me to become trusting and loving. I love to follow my foster mom from room to room, and I like to cuddle up on her lap when she is sitting. Cuddling is my favorite thing! Don't worry, I bond quickly so I will do the same with you. I don't like to be crated so my foster mom lets me sleep in her bed under the covers and I love it! She has started to feed me in the crate, so I can get more comfortable being in one. I"m not much of a barker, but I will bark when someone is outside or at the door. Do youknow that I can be entertaining, too? I can walk on my hind legs while I wave my front paws...I bet you've never seen that before! I am a good eater and I'm treat motivated. This means I can be easily taught commands and tricks if you offer a treat as a reward for a job well done. My foster family has 3 cats that I try to play nice with, but they are never interested in playing with me. They are no fun! There are other foster dogs that live there too, and it doesn't matter to me if they are big or small, or young or old...I get along with everyone! I even do well with children, but because I will always be small, it would be best if I go to a home with older, respectful children or no children. Although it's not required, I would like to have a fenced-in yard to run and play in, but I have squeezed under fences so make sure you check that there are no openings I can fit through. There are some noises that I find to be very scary! Things such as sudden loud noises, car alarms, motorcycles, car horns, and even clanging of pots and pans. My foster mom makes sure I have a good fitting harness on when she walks me, so if I get scared I can't get loose. I am doing great with leash training and I am just about 98% house trained. I go outside with the other foster dogs every 4-5 hours and I have learned by example. I would like to go to obedience training with my new family. I hear it's a great way to bond with your new family and a fun way of learning manners and commands. I have been working on "sit" so now it's time to learn more things! So now that you've gotten to know me, what do you think about me coming to live with you? Of course you want me to! So please fill out an application and I hope to see you soon!
