Say hello to Daisy! Daisy is a gorgeous 3-year old girl that appears to be a Heeler mix. She is looking to be the "top dog" in a one-dog home. Daisy was previously owned by a veterinarian and grew up with a female Jack Russel Terrier for 3 years without any issues. For unknown reasons Daisy developed an "un-liking" for the other female dog and a few fights broke out. Daisy will guard her people, and she wants all the attention and affection. She is not leash re-active and can walk in parks with no problems. She is fine with the other dogs at the shelter, as she avoids them except for a large Hound that she will play with. Besides wanting to be the "only" dog, Daisy is perfect in so many other ways! She loves people and is very friendly. She is great with kids and cats. She is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. Daisy is very intelligent, she already knows sit, stay and down and she can learn even more if you take her for obedience training. Daisy is playful, but isn't high energy, she would love a home with a fenced-in yard, but it's not required as long as she goes for lots of walks. If you are looking to have just one dog in your life, then Daisy is the one dog for you! Please fill out an application. You are going to love her!

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
