Cuteness alert! Have you ever seen such a cute face? This is Heidi and we bet that Heidi has one of the cutest faces that you have ever seen! We believe Heidi is a Golden Retriever/Terrier mix that was born around March 24th of this year. Heidi is a happy girl with an infectious personality! It's highly impossible not to be in a good mood around her! Heidi is great with other dogs and children of all ages. She is currently being fostered at a home where there are cats and a litter of 12-week old kittens. She is great with the kittens - she is very gentle with them. The older cats are afraid of her and they will run from her, and not knowing any better she thinks that they are playing, so she chases after them like it's a game. Heidi is in the process of house training and leash training. She does well in the crate, especially overnight, but she also loves to sleep in bed with her humans. She has to be touching you at all times, as if she is making sure you are not going to leave her. She will not get off the bed until morning when you get her up to go potty. Currently Heidi does not do well traveling - the poor girl gets very car sick. She may eventually outgrow this but if not, consult with your vet as there are many different ways to quell car sickness, including medication. Heidi will need basic obedience training, but she is off to a great start, as she already knows sit and down. She does give little "love bites" which is normal for her age but she is getting better and doing it less often. Heidi would love to have a fenced-in yard so she can run and play safely. If not she will need lots of walks and trips to the dog park for off-leash play and exercise.

 

Heidi's previous owners posted her on Craigslist, which we all know is very dangerous, and kept her outside in a small crate. They claimed that their son was allergic to her.
