Are you ready for some Football?
Well then, meet the Football Litter! We have 9 beautiful puppies ready and waiting to run offense, defense or straight down the line for you! They appear to be a Heeler/Hound mix about 2 months old who were surrendered to a local southern shelter. We have six girls and three boys, and all their names come from the University of Tennessee Football Team Roster. Being just puppies, they'll need to be house trained, leash trained and crate trained (these things are in progress, but will need to be continued), and lots of play time and loving! We strongly recommend obedience classes for all our dogs, but especially puppies because it not only provides an opportunity for socialization and confidence building, but also helps promote that ever-important bond between the pup and his or her human family members. Puppies are a lot of work and take lots of time and patience in order for them to learn all that they need to know to become well-socialized, confident and obedient canine citizens - the kind of dog that everyone loves to see coming. These puppies are all affectionate, are playful and love toys. They are puppy vocal and fairly obedient for puppies. They're good with all other dogs and kids of all ages - we don't know about kitty cats yet. They are a bit shy at first but very friendly and warm up quickly. Though a fenced yard is great for puppies to run and play in safely, as long as they get enough daily leash walks and chances for off-leash play in a dog park; and mental stimulation, their moderate exercise needs will be met.
First in the lineup we have Lacey, our beautiful little wide receiver. She is mostly white with red ticking, and the sides of her head, her ears and around her eyes are a pretty chestnut color fringed with black. So...if you're ready to add Lacey to your team, fill out an application right away before someone else snatches her up! Sweet after-game snuggles and puppy kisses will be yours!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
