We are pleased to introduce you to Effie, who appears to be a one and a half year old Manchester terrier mix. She was dropped off at the shelter in Mississippi by her former owner and that was fine with Effie since he wasn't a nice man! That's all behind you now Effie - here at SOS we are looking for a wonderful new home and family for you! She is a great dog with a great personality. She is calm and friendly, and loves everyone and everything - people, kids, dogs, and cats. Effie is leash trained and crate trained but may need to be house trained. She would love her new home to have a fenced-in yard so she can play with you outdoors and she would also love to snuggle with you on the couch when playtime is done! Effie, like all dogs, needs obedience training to help her brush up on her house manners. Obedience training is a great way to bond and get to know your newest family member. Medical Note: On 10/25/2016 , I tested positive for exposure to anaplasma while in SOS foster care. This does not mean that I have anaplasmosis. I have been asymptomatic while in SOS care and am being preventatively treated with a 28-day course of doxycycline.
