This sweet smiling face belongs to Sally!
Sally appears to be a Hound mix about a year old who was rescued from a high kill shelter. She's super sweet, friendly, affectionate and LOVES being petted! Sally is crate trained and walks on a leash, and is working hard on her house training.
We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes, not only because you get to learn commands together and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, but because it helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and her human family. And it’s lots of fun! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed most anywhere you take her. Sally has a head start on this as she already knows "sit." She can't wait to learn more with you! Though a fenced yard is an ideal place for your pup to romp and play fetch safely, if that’s not an option then lots of daily walks and opportunities to play and perfect her fetch game off-leash in a dog park is the next best thing. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation – think puzzle toys and games. Sally is good with all dogs, kids of all ages, and adults, though she is shy at first and needs a little bit of time to warm up. She has not met any kitty cats yet so we don't know what she thinks of them. Sally's even-tempered, gentle and just a bit puppy-goofy. She also does well in the car and is thinking that an excursion to the pet store to pick out some new toys to play with just might be in order!
Are you thinking the same thing about that excursion? Well fill out an application right away for Sally and soon your home might just be filled with the musical sound of squeaky toys!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
