Ohh, Ohh, Ohh! It's the Ohh puppies!!!
This handsome little dude is Oliver, the only boy of the three in the litter, and a little on the shy side. He's mostly tan with white trim on his toes and chest, and he has longer strands in his "overcoat" like a Wire Haired Terrier would have. They are just 2 months old and seem to be quite a mix with Mama appearing to be a Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix and Papa appearing to be a Beagle/Basset Hound mix. The parents were dumped on an elderly couple's property and the puppies were born in September. The couple is keeping Mama, but the puppies are all up for adoption! They are happy, happy, happy puppies - happy to be alive and even happier to play. They're sweet, affectionate and attentive - AND they are already using the doggie door to potty outside! They will need to be crate trained and leash trained, and their potty training continued. We are still getting to know them, but we're already in love with them!
Oliver doesn't like being separated from his siblings and is very vocal about that. Otherwise he's a quiet puppy with typical high puppy energy. He and his sister Olivia have short legs like Papa. Opal has "regular" legs like Mama. Puppies are a lot of work and require a strong commitment to teaching them obedience, socializing them with other dogs and people, playing with them and loving them to pieces. It takes a lot of time, energy and patience to bring up a puppy, but it’s totally worth it! Though a fenced yard is an ideal place for your puppy to romp and play safely, if that’s not an option then lots of daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park is the next best thing. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation – think puzzle toys and games. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes, not only because you get to learn commands together and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, but because it helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and his human family. And it’s lots of fun! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed most anywhere you take him.
If you're looking to add some happy to your home, fill out an application today for Oliver! Sweet puppy kisses and warm furry snuggles could soon be yours!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
