The cuteness meter has gone way over the top!!! Meet Nala of the Lion King Litter! This gorgeous little girl's Mama appears to be a Poodle mix and Daddy appears to be a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Labrador Retriever mix. As you can clearly see from her photos, this is one lovely mix!!! Nala is gray with wide black stripes going around her back, a white stripe up her nose, white on her chest and toes, and she's one of the longer-haired puppies in the litter.
Being puppies these little girls and boys will need help learning a lot of things: house training, crate training, walking on a leash, getting along with other dogs, and being comfortable with kids and adults they don't know - and maybe even getting along with kitties! Though a fenced yard is an ideal place for your puppy to romp and play safely, if that’s not an option then lots of daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park is the next best thing. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation – think puzzle toys and games. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes, not only because you get to learn commands together and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, but because it helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and his or her human family. And it’s lots of fun! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed most anywhere you take him or her.
Puppies are a lot of work and require a strong commitment to teaching them obedience, socializing them with other dogs and people, playing with them and loving them to pieces. It takes a lot of time, energy and patience to bring up a puppy, but it’s totally worth it! Are you ready to make this kind of commitment to Nala Lion King? Fill out an application today and soon sweet puppy kisses and warm furry snuggles just may be yours!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
