This happy, friendly, and very handsome dude is Hank Ned!
Hank appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier mix about a year old. He was picked up by animal control as a stray, but that's behind him and he's looking for his forever home! He's already house trained and is working on his crate training and leash training. He's good with all the other dogs he's met so far, but only with some of the cats. He hasn't been introduced to kids yet. He's got the high JRT energy thing going so a fenced yard would be ideal for him, but if that's not an option then plenty of daily walks and chances for off-leash play in a dog park will be key in tiring him out!
A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation – think puzzle toys and games. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes, not only because you get to learn commands together and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, but because it helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and his human family. And it’s lots of fun! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed most anywhere you take him. Hank's got a leg up on this 'cause he already knows "sit"! He will need some help in remembering that garbage bins are not his to explore. Hank's a playful feller and is learning all about playing fetch - he'll want to show you how it's done so he can perfect his game. He's smart, affectionate, eager to please and even-tempered. Just a great little guy! If Hank sounds like the perfect match for your active family, fill out an application today! Hank is waiting just for you!

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
