This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Helloooo, Gorgeous! Meet Hefalump! True, it's a funky name for such a beautiful girl, but she had "funky" skin issues when she was first picked up as a stray in Texas (see the photo collage from when she was pulled from the shelter). We're happy to report that her skin issues have been resolved and as you can see, she is just one stunning beauty! Hefalump appears to be a German Shepherd Dog mix almost 11 months old. She's crate trained and walks well on a leash; she's working diligently on her house training. She does know "sit" and "down," and would love to go to obedience class with you to learn more stuff! It's a fun way to work on socialization for the dog and helps her with the bonding process to her new family. Hefie is good with kids (she has been with those who are aged 10 years and older), other dogs and some cats - a sweet, gentle girl! Her skin treatments required lots of baths and she LOVES baths, so she would probably like swimming, too. She's affectionate and likes to be close to her people, is playful, eager to please, obedient and smart - very quick to learn! Though she doesn’t necessarily require a fenced yard, Hefie will need lots of daily walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park which is the next best thing. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation – think puzzle toys and games. She likes to swim, play fetch and likes toys!
