Well, howdy pardners! Who's this lil' filly???
I reckon this is Ivey Cowboy! She's one of four gals in the Cowboy litter of five. These little cuties appear to be a Dachshund/Terrier mix going on 3 months old and they just LOVE being held!
They're good with other dogs, with cats and with little people! Since they're just youngins themselves, they have a lot to learn! They'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash (these last two important basic life skills are underway). They'll need help learning what's appropriate to chew, that jumping up is rude, and that too much barking isn't good manners. We strongly recommend that all our dogs - and especially puppies - attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and her human family. It’s lots of fun, too! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed most anywhere you take her. Though a fenced yard is an ideal place for your puppy to romp and play safely, if that’s not an option then lots of daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park is the next best thing. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation – think puzzle toys and games. Puppies are a lot of work and require a strong commitment to teaching them obedience, socializing them with other dogs and people, playing with them and loving them to pieces. It takes a lot of time, energy and patience to bring up a puppy - and it’s totally worth it! These pups LOVE toys!

Ivey is the sweetest of the litter and truly wants to cuddle for hours if you have the time! She listens well, plays more quietly than her siblings - she just prefers to cuddle. She's a gorgeous white color with tan on the left side of her face, and a little bit of black surrounding her nose! She's got a hankerin' to find her furever home where cuddling is the main activity - and she's wondering if it might be with you. Fill out an application today for Ivey Cowboy! She'll be waitin' just for you!

Cowboy Litter Backstory: These beautiful pups were left in a box at an Arkansas auto body shop.

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
