This beautiful girl is Norma Jean!
She appears to be a Feist/Pointer mix about a year old. She's gorgeous with her freckled skin showing through her white coat and brown shading around her eyes to match! She's good with older kids - she's working on her habit of jumping on people, so littler children may be knocked down by her. She's uninterested in kitty cats.
She does alright with smaller, younger dogs, and is selective with larger adult dogs. She's leash trained and requires multiple daily walks. Being a pup filled with energy, opportunities to play off-leash would benefit her. A dog park or fenced yard should do the trick! She's inquisitive and enjoys learning about her surroundings. She loves to play fetch and tug-of-war. She's also working on "sit," "stay," and "down" and doing very well, says her foster mom! She is crate trained and has done well sleeping in it at night, and while her foster mom is at work. She should be let out every few hours, so that she doesn't have any accidents in the house.
We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog - Norma in particular is working on this, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and her human family. It’s lots of fun, too! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed most anywhere you take her. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation – think puzzle toys, games and "slow-feeder" food bowls. Norma does like toys and is a playful girl! She's an active, sweet, and eager to please love bug. Give her your time and energy, and in return she'll show you tons of affection and companionship!
Norma Jean was found as a stray and would surely love to settle down in a forever home with forever people. If you would like to add a forever doggie to your family, Norma's the girl for you! Fill out an application today! She'll thank you with years of loyalty and kisses!

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
