Well, look who just sailed in!
It's Paisley, one of the two girls in the Yacht litter of three! These pups appear to be a Labrador Retriever mix about 2 months old. Paisley is gorgeous with her brindle colored coat and big beautiful white bib and white front paws. She's an energetic puppy who doesn't miss a thing! She's very smart and inquisitive. She knows her name and comes when she's called. She's crate trained and does go "potty" on command. She will need continued work on her house training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly suggest that all our dogs - and especially puppies - attend a formal obedience class. This is important for further socialization and confidence building, and also helps with the bonding process between the puppy and her new family members. Paisley adores playing with other dogs and children - especially if there are belly rubs being given out! She also gets along with cats and horses! She has some of your typical puppy behaviors that will need work: chewing, jumping on people, and digging (one of her favorite pastimes). She's a wonderful little pup who listens well, is always on the move, but perfectly content to settle down after play. She LOVES squeaky toys, laptime, playgroup, cuddling and chew toys. She tends to be a bit timid in new places, but settles in very quickly. She will try to escape through doors and gates, so her people will need to keep a watchful eye - remember, she's an inquisitive one! A fenced yard would be the ideal safe place for her to run and play, but if that's not an option then plenty of daily walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park is the next best thing. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation - think puzzle toys and games.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
