Hola! Let's have a fiesta! A puppy fiesta!
This shiny black cutie is Taco Cinco de Mayo! He's one of the boys in the Cinco de Mayo litter. They appear to be a Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix about 3 months old and they were found on...you guessed it...Cinco de Mayo! There also happens to be cinco of them. Taco is your typical puppy - playful and friendly, his favorite things are walks, playgroup, and running around playing chase and bitey-mouth with his siblings. He's independent, adventurous and the instigator, trouble-maker in true puppy fashion! He has no fear and can be a bit of a goof. He is working on his house training and crate training. These skills will need some continued work and he will need to learn to walk on a leash. He has done okay in the car, but has not been loose - he's only ridden crated. He's tolerant of cats, but if they run he'll give chase. He's good with other dogs and with children - he is currently around a 12 and 14 year old. We do strongly suggest that all our dogs attend a formal obedience class, and especially puppies. You get to learn lots of cool stuff together, and it helps with their socialization and confidence building. A well-mannered canine is welcomed most anywhere you take him. Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation - think puzzle toys, busy feeders and games. Though a fenced yard is the safest place for your puppy to run and play, if that's not an option then plenty of daily walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park is the next best thing. Puppies are a lot of work! It takes a lot of time, patience, energy - and, of course, love - to bring up a puppy, and it's totally worth it!
