Meet the Texas Seven!
This absolutely adorable litter of puppies is each named after a city or town in Texas. They appear to be a Labrador Retriever mix about 4 months old who were born in foster care to Sunny, their sweet, sweet momma, who's being adopted by her foster family! Now each of these cuties is ready to find his or her own forever home!
Sweet Katy Texas is a light tan color with a black muzzle. Then the black sort of feathers down from her muzzle onto her chest - very pretty! She's a quiet girl unless she wants something - then she barks to let you know! She loves to cuddle and go for walks, and she also LOVES chew toys, squeaky toys, playing fetch, digging and playing chase with her siblings. She's good with other dogs, with cats and is playful with children. She does respond well to corrections. She's working diligently on her house training, and will need you to help her with crate training (she does ride crated in the car) and learning to walk on a leash. Though a fenced yard is the ideal place for your puppy to play and romp safely, if that's not an option then lots of daily walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park will keep her happy and healthy. A tired dog is a good dog! We also strongly recommend obedience training for our dogs, and especially puppies, as it helps with socialization, confidence building and building a strong bond between the pup and her human family. And it can be so much fun! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation - think puzzle toys, busy feeders and games.
Puppies take a lot of time, patience, energy and consistency to become the well-mannered canine citizen that everyone loves you to bring with you when you visit. If you're up for the challenge, Katy Texas has lots of big Texas love to share. Fill out an application today and get your heart ready!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
