This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet sweet, shy, beautiful Elena from the August litter.
Elena and her 3 litter-mates appear to be Beagle/Lab mix born around 3/14/2017. They have been in a shelter since being turned into rescue and have not experienced any "home" life. Elena is shy but not as shy as her sister Piper. Elena warms up quickly with everyone, male or female. We think she will flourish once she is out of the shelter life. She is good with other dogs, but we don't know how she feels about cats or kids. Her new family will need a lot of patience, consistency and willingness to work with a trainer so she will gain confidence and be more at ease around strangers. A quieter household without a lot of different people coming and going will be best. She will need to be house, crate, and leash trained. Being in a shelter it's hard to say for sure what her energy level is, but a fenced-in yard is always a plus.
Through no fault of her own, this sweet little girl missed out on a lot of loving. If you have the room in your heart and home for Elena, please fill out an application and let's show her how wonderful life can be!
