Meet Eddie Earl! Eddie appears to be Hound mix that is approximately 10-11 years old. Eddie has been in foster care for approximately 3 years after being part of the Hinds County Prison program in 2007. He was taken in by a wonderful person who works with our southern partner and underwent heartworm treatment and a complete vet workup. Eddie then was adopted out but sadly returned 6 years later for unknown reasons. His original caretaker took him back in and instantly fell in love with him and was planning on keeping him and giving him a loving home. Unfortunately the caretaker's home life changed and she could not adopt him as planned. Eddie was great with her special needs German Shepherd Dog and two senior Labs. Eddie lived in the house and was house trained, but he did get frequent Uti's which led him to not be able to hold his bladder. Since starting Science Diet, he has not had another uti. Eddy has low to moderate energy and ABSOLUTELY loves attention! We were told Eddy does fine with cats and can be easily redirected. He is a very easy going soul that loves children. He is crate trained and rides well in the car while crated. He loves toys, going places to meet new people, and loves his cuddle time. He rarely barks and is overall a great dog for anyone.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
