Hello lovely people, it's a pleasure to meet you! My name is Hebie Free and yes, I am a girl.
My sister, Ollie Free, and I were rescued after someone abandoned us way out in the country. The nice people who rescued us say we were born approximately 5/1/17 and look to be a Shepherd mix. Being as young as I am, I still have some growing to do, so it looks like I will be a medium to large girl when I'm a full grown adult. I am now staying in a home, so I'm getting the idea of what is expected of me and where I should go potty and where not to. I'm also learning that the crate is a great place for me to go to when I want to chill out. I'm also learning the right way to walk on a leash and with some obedience training I will learn everything that a good dog should know. My foster mom says things like I am "smart" and "very sweet," and a "good dog."

I go to daycare daily and enjoy playing with other dogs. I also like to play with kitties, but those kitties sometimes don't like to play and have fun. When my people tell me to "stop," I listen and I will go play with something else. I have seen little kids from afar at events, but not yet lived with them - they seem okay and I'd be open to living with them. Just remember that I am still young and learning about this world - I might jump up on people or lick faces, and I suppose I could accidentally knock over a little one or a senior. I like to go to new places to meet new people with positive gentle encouragement, and I sit quietly in my crate and enjoy the ride in the car. I like to play tug-of-war and I think squeaky toys and chew toys are the bomb! A fenced-in yard would be so much fun to have so I can run and play chase, but if one is not available, I will be happy with walks, runs, hiking and trips to a dog park. I would LOVE a dog sibling, but would be fine as an only, too. I am not a hyper dog, but I do enjoy exercise; it will be best for us both if you help keep me and my mind busy. Toys like Kongs, puzzle toys, busy feeders and other challenging toys will keep me out of trouble. I am used to getting a stuffed Kong in my crate, and I like crate time now!

I may like to play a lot but I also enjoy snuggling up and getting me some puppy love. I have a lovely thick, medium coat, and my foster mom says that she enjoys petting me. I don't know about you, but I'm already in love, so let's get the ball rollin' and fill out an application! You and I just may be looking at a happy, long life together!

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
