Meet Radar!
By his shiny black coat and happy wagging tail, Radar appears to be a black lab mix that is approximately 2 years old. Affectionate and outgoing, you wouldn't know that he has been living his life in a kennel since May of this year, and that's because he knows his future will be brighter with his new family! He was adopted for a couple of weeks before being turned into the kennel, because the woman in the house did not think he liked her, however, he seems to love everyone he meets and has not shown any negative behaviors toward women (or anyone)! Of course, he will need house training, leash training, and crate training. We also strongly encourage basic obedience training for all of our dogs, because you get to learn commands together, and it offers opportunities for confidence building and socialization for the dog. It also helps strengthen the bond between the dog and his new family! It's lots of fun too! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed almost anywhere. Radar is a very curious dog, and likes to explore when he is in a new environment. He also is very friendly with everyone he meets, as well as dogs that he meets, although he has not been around cats or children yet. He likes to play and has a moderate energy level, and he also likes to have some down-time and just hang out. He does not require a fenced-in yard, however, he will need lots of daily walks and opportunities for off-leash play in a dog park which is the next best thing. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation - think puzzle toys and games.

Don't wait to apply for Radar, he will be waiting for you with a big grin and wagging tail!

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
