Oh, the sweetness of maple...and Maple puppies are the absolute sweetest!
Momma Maple was very pregnant when she came into rescue and had her puppies in foster care. Maple appears to be a Treeing Walker Coonhound, papa is a mystery. These eight puppies are about two months old and currently just little bits, but since we don't really know about papa, they may end up being on the large side of medium or the small side of large when full grown. They are typical puppies and will need to learn all those things that puppies need to learn to grow up to be confident, well-mannered canine citizens: where to potty (working on this), the crate is their friend (working on this, too), walking politely on a leash, and that obedience is the best thing ever! It's especially important for puppies to attend obedience classes - it helps with confidence building, allows for some socialization with new dogs and people, and is a great chance for puppy and forever human(s) to get in some quality bonding time! A fenced yard is the ideal safe place for your puppy to romp and play, but if that's not an option then plenty of daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park are the next best thing. Dogs of all ages benefit from mental exercise, too - think puzzle and treat dispensing toys, busy feeders and games. Puppies are a lot of work, time and commitment and it's so worth it! The Maples are all friendly pups who love to play and are great with other dogs and people of all sizes and ages. They haven't been introduced to kitty cats yet, so we don't know how interesting they would find them. They like toys and are all puppy-goofy!
This bit of Maple sweetness is Hazelnut! She's a sweet and gentle girl who likes to hang back and watch what's happening before deciding if she wants to join in. She can often be found curled up with one of the adult dogs or on a soft bed by herself. She's quieter than the others and is more of a loner when it comes to playing with her siblings. She LOVES giving her humans puppy kisses and cuddles. Ready to fill your life with Maple sweetness? Fill out an application today! Soon sweet puppy kisses and warm furry snuggles may be coming your way!

We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence.
