This beautiful sweetheart is Lacey Elle!
She's one of three sisters found as strays in a town in Texas. These pups appear to be a Labrador Retriever mix about 3 months old. Judging by their current weights, these girls are going to be large dogs when fully grown. House and crate training are in progress (they ride well crated in the car), and they will need to learn to walk on a leash. They're playful and friendly with other dogs and people, though they haven't met any children yet. They like to playfully chase kitties, so a home with dog savvy cats should be fine. Care needs to be taken around open doors and gates, 'cause these girls LOVE to explore and can't pass up a chance for an adventure! They're toy and treat motivated which will make obedience classes lots of fun and training easier. Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation - think puzzle toys and games. A fenced yard is the ideal safe place for your pup to romp and play, but if that's not an option then plenty of daily walks with opportunities for off-leash play in a dog park should tire her out. They have typical puppy manners - jumping on people and chewing on inappropriate items. They have a great time playing chase, tug-of-war, and rough wrestling. When playtime's over, they quite content to chill out. Some of their favorite things include: swimming, squeaky toys, playgroup, chew toys, running, digging and hanging out in their crate.
These affectionate, little sweetie-pies are looking for an individual or family who have the time, patience and energy to raise a puppy. It's a lot of work, but it's so totally worth it! Would that be you? Fill out an application today for Lacey Elle and soon sweet puppy kisses and warm furry snuggles just may be yours!
Lacey had lacerations of unknown origin on her back when she was picked up. Her wounds are healed and the hair is beginning to grow back (this can be seen in some of her photos). There may always be some thin hair in those areas, but she does not show sensitivity to those areas at this time, and ongoing or future issues are not expected related to this history.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
