Happy Holiday...times three!
Meet the Holiday pups: Kris, Nick and Noelle! These puppies are very sweet, but shy - especially with new people. Once they get to know someone they're friendly, playful side shines! They appear to be a Labrador Retriever mix about 3 months old. We know Mom was a Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, but Dad is a mystery. They will each need some patience and time to slowly be exposed to different people and different situations so they can build their confidence in the world. They absolutely LOVE other dogs and their whole personalities change when they are with them. They haven't met any kids or kitties yet, so we're not sure what they'd think of them. They do get along fine with small dogs. Currently they are in foster care in a rural area of Arkansas, so aren't exposed to many different things or people on a daily basis. They are crate trained and ride well crated in the car. They will need house training and learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that our dogs - especially puppies - attend obedience classes. This greatly helps build their confidence, lets them meet new dogs and people, and gives you and your new pup some quality bonding time. All these pups are fairly treat-motivated which will help with training. Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation - think puzzle toys and games. A fenced yard is the ideal safe place for your pup to romp and play, but if that's not an option then plenty of daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park are the next best thing. Care will need to be taken around open gates and doors because these little cuties just jump at the chance to get out an play!

Kris LOVES squeaky toys, playgroup, chew toys, and running; and playing tug-of-war, chase and wrestling with his siblings. Of the three pups, he looks the least like a Labrador - he's a beautiful puppy. Wouldn't it be wonderful for him to be in his forever home for the Holidays! If you have the time, energy, and patience to commit to raising a puppy, fill out an application today for Kris Holiday! This would totally be his dream come true!

Holiday Pups Backstory: Sadly, these little sweetie-pies didn't have the best start in life. They were born under an abandoned building in Mississippi to a stray Yellow Lab mix. We don't know what happened with the mother, and one of the puppies was killed by a car before the litter was rescued by our partner.

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
