This beautiful boy is Nicky Bo-Ricky and since he's new to SOS, we're still learning about him. We do know he's playful and goofy, even-tempered and outgoing. He appears to be a Golden Retriever mix about a year and a half old and has your "typical" Golden Retriever disposition. He's working diligently on his house training and crate training - like most dogs, he gets REAL excited when he first comes out of his crate. He walks well on a leash and is very smart. He gets along well with all other dogs and likes playing with puppies. He's not overbearing, reactive or hyper. He has not been introduced to kitty cats so we're not sure how he feels about them. He's great with people and likes car rides - he calmly rides loose. He knows "sit" already and is looking forward to attending obedience classes with his new people to learn more cool stuff together. It's also a great way to socialize with new dogs and people and get in some quality bonding time with his forever family. He's treat-motivated which can make training easier and help him focus on the task at hand. Nicky's favorite things are walks, playgroup, going places, running and digging. When all that activity's done, he's happy enough to just chill. Though a fenced yard is the ideal safe place for your dog to romp and play, if that's not an option then daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park are the next best thing. Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental exercise - think puzzle toys and games.

Nicky Bo-Ricky's backstory: Picked up as a stray in a Texas city, no one claimed him and with the shelter being full, the dogs were in danger of being euthanized. Fortunately for Nicky, our Texas partner pulled him from the shelter and he's now an SOS dog.
