Well hellooooo, Maddie!
This gorgeous girl was found wandering the streets and brought to our Mississippi rescue partner on Christmas Day. What a wonderful gift for us and especially for Maddie, who now gets to find her furever home! She’s an affectionate, playful pup who loves playing with children and adults, and loves new situations and experiences. Maddie appears to be a Mountain Cur/Shepherd mix about 4 months old. Based on her current weight, she will most likely be a large dog when full-grown. She’s working diligently on her house training and crate training, and already walks on a leash. She’s fine with other dogs and with kitty cats. She’s happy and excited to go for rides in the car, and rides crated. She’s smart, eager to please, and treat and toy motivated – the perfect combination for acing obedience classes! These classes are a great way to learn lots of cool stuff together and get in some quality bonding time with your new pup. A fenced yard is the ideal safe place for Maddie to run and play fetch (one of her favorite things), but if this isn’t an option then daily leash walks with opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park or at doggie daycare will help fill her exercise needs. Don’t forget, dogs of all ages also benefit from mental exercise – think puzzle toys and games.
This sometimes goofy girl can be hyper in play, likes toys (both squeaky and chew), playing inside and outside, and after all that play, settling down for some cuddling. If you have room in your home and your heart - and on your lap - for gorgeous Maddie, fill out an application today! She’s waiting to hear just from you!
