This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Eggnog Holiday is a silly, playful guy, with the sweetest little underbite! We're thinking there's a possibility he may like water since once he discovered that some of the plants out front of his shelter had water in them, he started rolling all around in them! Eggnog is one of three in this beautiful Holiday litter! They appear to be a Labrador Retriever mix about 5 months old. There are two boys and one girl. They have not been house trained, are working on crate training, and need more work on leash walking since in their eagerness, they tend to pull. They are each eager to please and treat motivated, so obedience classes will be great fun! Besides getting in some quality bonding time together, you'll get to learn lots of cool stuff and your pup will continue his socialization with new dogs and people, and build more confidence. Eggnog would love a yard to run and play in, but if that's not in the cards then daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park will do just fine. And to exercise that puppy brain, think puzzle toys and games. These three are typical puppies - they love toys, attention, wrestling with each other and playing, playing, playing! They're great with other dogs, have not been introduced to kitty cats, and have been interested and friendly with the children they've met. Puppies are a big commitment, but with time, patience and consistency, they grow into wonderful best friends forever.

The Holiday Litter Backstory: Mom and her 4-day-old litter were rescued from a poverty situation where there were over 40 dogs.
Medical Note: This litter is "visually suspected" of being positive for demodectic mange and has been preventatively treated and currently shows no symptoms of demodectic mange. Please note that demodex can have a hereditary component and/or flare up in any dog in times of stress (e.g., transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc.). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a personal or family history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption or until 18 months of age.
