Sweet Kellie Blue is such a gorgeous pup with her one blue eye and one brown eye!
Found running the streets of Houston by an independent rescuer, Kellie is now an SOS pup through our Texas partner. She appears to be a Husky/Anatolian Shepherd mix about 8 months old. There are no children or kitties in her current foster home, but she gets along with her four foster canine siblings. She likes to wrestle and play tug-of-war. House training and crate training are works in progress, and though she walks on a leash, her style is zig-zag, so that needs more work. She's playful and goofy, LOVES toys and going places! She's treat and toy motivated, smart and respects corrections - a great combination to ace obedience classes. While she's continuing her socialization with new dogs and people and building more confidence, she can learn lots of cool stuff and spend quality bonding time with her new human(s). She's a quiet, gentle, even-tempered girl who loves laptime - she only likes being on the couch if she has her chew toys or a lap...or a canine sibling to play with. A fenced yard is the ideal safe place for your pup to romp and play, but if it's not an option then daily leash walks with opportunities to play off-leash at a dog park is the next best thing. Kellie may do well with some advanced obedience work and would love to have some puzzle toys and play games to keep her mind exercised as well. She has been allowed on the furniture so will need to learn not to get on it if that's not allowed in her new home. She'll also need help learning that counter surfing isn't an accepted sport and jumping on guests in impolite.

 

Kellie Blue has the cutest ears - they're like radar the way they twist and turn! She's very excited about the prospect of finding her forever home where she can love and be loved, play and learn all that she can about being a well-mannered canine citizen.
