To handsome Xavier, there's no such thing as a stranger. Everyone is his best friend, be it person or dog - or even a kitty cat! He's a happy-go-lucky fellow who loves to meet new people and new dog friends. He's interested and excited. We can't believe anyone could've let this guy go, he's such a lovebug. But unfortunately, he was found by a shelter employee, running the streets in Mississippi, without someone to claim him. Thankfully, his sweet personality rescued him. He's such an inquisitive, happy boy who requires no time to warm up to new people. He loves the outdoors and how can you blame him when the weather is nice. We're thankful he'll have some time to play in beautiful New England now that the weather has warmed up, although we think he'll love the snow too. And we at SOSARL are so glad a family in the Northeast could be so lucky to have him. He'll need some time with housetraining and crate training. He's had some practice with leash walking skills, but obedience classes are always a good idea for young dogs who are treat motivated and eager to please as Xavier is. Plus it helps the dog learn good canine behaviors and provides a common language to speak between Xavier and his new forever family. A fenced yard would be great but exercise with his new family on leashed walks is just as important.
