This handsome hunk is Oakley!  Oakley is about 1 years old and looks to be a terrier/border collie mix.  Oakley is house, crate and leash trained.  He is a HUGE people lover - he is super sweet, snuggly and kissy - and he warms up to all kinds of people very quickly, and is eager to meet new people and explore new situations. A home with active young children would probably be too exciting for Oakley, but he does very well when meeting children out and about - he is very gentle and sweet with them.

Oakley is looking for a home where he will get plenty of regular exercise and routine. He is not overly hyper, but he could never pass as a couch potato.  He loves to snuggle, but also to go for walks, play with toys, and play fetch - he knows to bring it back and "drop it", after a few zoomies around the yard.  He would love to be someone's jogging or hiking buddy, learn agility, or run errands with his new person.  He is super smart, and picks up on new skills easily.  He knows "sit," "shake," "high five," and "lay down." He's currently learning "stay," and "leave it".  Further training will be very enjoyable and rewarding for Oakley and his people, and he would thrive with activities like nosework, rally, and agility.

A high fenced yard would be great to give Oakley space to run safely off-leash and play fetch, but it is not required as long as he gets plenty of on leash exercise.  Oakley loves car rides and jumps in the car easily so taking him places is easy.  Oakley is always very interested in meeting and playing with new dogs but unfortunately, some dogs misinterpret his intensity and responses.  For this reason, he is not a dog park or daycare candidate, but he can definitely have doggy friends who he has regular playdates with.
