Age: 8-9 Months (est. as of 8/8/18)
Weight: 48.4 lbs (as of 5/28/18) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. The Sweets sisters are exactly that: INCREDIBLY SWEET! Meet Sally, the smaller of the two girls - though not by much. She's also the sister with a double dew claw. We're thinking they may be a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever/Labrador mix and if so, they could end up being large dogs when fully grown. They currently reside in a kennel environment and so have not had any house training or crate training. They walk great with a harness (Freedom No-Pull) and have learned very quickly to sit and wait when the kennel gate is opened to see which one of them will get to wear the harness and go for a walk. They LOVE hot dog treats and Greenies, are eager to please and smart so obedience class will be lots of fun! Sally will get to continue her socialization and confidence building, while spending quality bonding time with her new human(s). While a fenced yard is the ideal safe place for your pup to run and play, if it's not an option then daily leash walks with opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park will do just fine. The girls haven't had a chance to really interact with other dogs at the shelter yet, but are very interested in them. They have not been introduced to children or kitty cats. They have met chickens, and though they find them interesting, they just stand outside the pen and peer in - no lunging, digging or aggressive barking. Speaking of barking, they are somewhat vocal in that they'll alert/watchdog bark and bark when you leave them and happily, when they see you coming. They ride fine loose in the car, just gazing out the windows. They have both had baths with a gentle sprayer outside and stood completely still while they got wet, lathered up and rinsed off - they LOVED it!
