This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.

Sage is a rich sable color with a beautiful white chest and chin and the prettiest light brown on her ears and face! Gorgeous! We're thinking she's a blend of German Shepherd and Labrador Retriever born about the middle of April. Her mom, Lucy, was pregnant when she was rescued so Sage and her siblings were born in a safe place. Sage is working diligently on her house training and crate training, and prefers company to being left alone. She will demand bark to let you know! She does great with her foster canine siblings, finds cats interesting, and is very playful with children. Sage is not only very treat and toy motivated, but is eager to please and trains easily so attending obedience classes with her new human(s) will be lots of fun! You'll learn lots of cool stuff together while she works on her socialization skills and gains confidence. Already she knows sit and wait. She LOVES cuddling and playtime. She loves to run and play with other dogs, and LOVES attention from the humans in the pack! She'd love a fenced yard to romp in, but if it's not an option then daily leash walks with opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park will give her the exercise she needs to be happy and healthy. And to exercise her canine mind, think puzzle toys and games. She's interested in new places but can be a bit timid at first. She rides fine crated in the car.

More info: Sage's mom, Lucy, is undergoing heartworm treatment and when ready will also be available for adoption through SOS. She has a very sweet temperament and is good with kids and dogs. She weighs about 55 lbs, but her pups will most likely be a bit bigger considering their current weights at about 3 months old.
