Kleur equals beautiful colors and the Kleur puppies are all of that!
Hazel is a rich solid chocolate color! No Easter bunny even comes close to being so yummy looking! We're thinking she's a Labrador Retriever mix born about the middle of April. Her mom, Lucy, was pregnant when she was rescued so Hazel and her siblings were born in a safe place. Hazel is working diligently on her house training and crate training, and will need work on her current zig-zag mode of leash walking. She barks while playing, will alert you to whatever she thinks is important, and will let you know if she needs something important. She does great with her foster canine siblings - big and small; has not been introduced to kitties or children yet. Hazel is not only very treat and toy motivated, but is eager to please so attending obedience classes with her new human(s) will be lots of fun! You'll learn lots of cool stuff together while she works on her socialization skills and gains confidence. She LOVES toys, and playing bitey-mouth and rough-wrestling with the other dogs. She's also quite willing to chill when the time is right. She'd love a fenced yard to romp in, but if it's not an option then daily leash walks with opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park will give her the exercise she needs to be happy and healthy. And to exercise her canine mind, think puzzle toys and games. She does get carsick, but that's common with puppies and they usually outgrow this. If not your vet can give you suggestions on what to do.
Lovely Hazel does find the trash can rather interesting and will need to learn that jumping on guests is inappropriate, but these are things that all puppies need to work on. She also wants you to know that she'd really, really love to be your girl forever. If you feel the same way about her, fill out an application today for Hazel Kleur!
More info: Hazel's mom, Lucy, is undergoing heartworm treatment and when ready will also be available for adoption through SOS. She has a very sweet temperament and is good with kids and dogs. She weighs about 55 lbs, but her pups will most likely be a bit bigger considering their current weights at about 3 months old.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
