With other dogs, of course! With his human(s) it's "snuggle time." He's just so sweet, cute and well behaved! His tail does a funny question mark thing when you scratch his back! He also LOVES to tunnel under his blankets for a nice cozy hiding spot, either in his dog bed or on the couch - take care not to sit on him! We're thinking he's a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix about 6 years old. He walks well on a leash, is fine in a crate, and is working on his house training (he currently will mark inside). He gets along great with other dogs, big and small, and is okay with kitty cats. He was recently introduced to children at an event and did fine letting them pet him and walk him around. He will watchdog bark and bark while playing, but is otherwise a quiet little dude. He does love his treats, but has no worries about sharing his bowl at mealtime. Attending obedience classes together will be a fun way to strengthen your bond with Jackson while learning cool stuff together. He loves playing chase and also likes going for walks, so if a fenced yard isn't an option, then daily leash walks with opportunities to run off-leash in a dog park will work for him! And to exercise his mind, think puzzle toys and games. He also wouldn't mind a few good chew toys in his new home! He rides calmly in the car and would love to be your road trip sidekick and everyday errand buddy.

 

Jackson Pollack is a sweet boy who was surrendered to the shelter when his owner was forced to move out of their home and into their vehicle. They knew they would no longer be able to care for Jackson so they brought him to the shelter. Now he's on a quest for his new forever home here in New England.
