Calvin is all puppy! And until he doesn't fit anymore, he wants to be your lapdog!
We're thinking this gorgeous boy is a Great Pyrenees mix born near the end of April and so chances are real good he's going to be one big boy when he's full grown! He absolutely LOVES to play with other dogs and is great with kids - he met a kitty cat, they looked at each other, and then pretty much ignored each other. He's working on his potty training, he is crate trained, but walking on a leash is still on his "to learn" list. He's an affectionate, goofy love bug who's looking forward to going to obedience classes with his new human(s) to learn lots of cool stuff and get to know each other better. He'd love a fenced yard to romp in, but if that's not an option then daily leash walks with opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park will work just fine. And to exercise that canine mind, think puzzle toys and games. As we mentioned, he is all puppy which means he's into all those puppy behaviors like chewing and checking out the trash can. Puppies do require lots of patience, energy and commitment, but in the end you have a super canine companion!

Calvin was surrendered by his previous owner to our Tennessee rescue partner with a severe upper jaw injury. We don't know the story, but we do know he's healing well and will be just fine. Has this cutie patootie's face melted your heart? Fill out an application today and let him know he's the one for you! His people will be in touch!

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
