Sandra Dee is a calm, cool puppy!
She is one of the Nani Trio - three sisters who are sure to steal some hearts away! They appear to be a beautiful blend of Husky, German Shepherd and Labrador Retriever born sometime in April. Sandra is such a happy puppy - just look at that sweet smile! She's eager to learn all those big dog skills she'll need in life: house training, crate training (already in the works), and walking on a leash, which by the way, she's learning pretty quickly for such a youngin'! She's also excited about attending obedience training with her new human(s) so she can continue working on her socialization, confidence building, and that wonderful canine/human bond she's heard about. She'd love a fenced yard to play in, but if that's not an option, then daily leash walks with chances to play off-leash in a dog park will do just fine. And to exercise that canine mind, think puzzle toys and games. Connie gets along great with other dogs! She loves to play bitey-mouth and tug-of-war! Currently kitty cats are fun to chase, but she can be redirected and does respect corrections. A dog-savvy cat in the home would likely be fine. As for children, she was puppy-hyper and playful with those she's met.

 

Sandra Dee is currently the lightest colored sister and the lightest pup at just over 14 pounds. She's definitely the calmest of the three sisters. She loves to play with other dogs and her sisters, but sometimes lets Connie be her boss and doesn't have any problem letting Connie think she can be. She's a very outgoing and playful puppy who'd have no problem with either an overly energetic new brother or sister, or a super calm one just like her. So has she stolen your heart? The Nani Trio's Story: Nani is the mother of the three puppies. Their human family was being forced to move to a new home that wouldn't allow pets, so they reached out to our Mississippi rescue partner for help. The rescue had no space, but the family was able to keep all the dogs safe for about four weeks until room opened up for them. Nani, her puppies, and Nani's sister Luna were all surrendered. Luna and Nani are also available for adoption through SOS.
