Quincy Jones is a little firecracker who loves to play and go on walks!
He also enjoys running, playing in the play-yard, and playing with toys. He appears to be a Dachshund mix born around the middle of May in 2017. He's good with other dogs, but can be a little overbearing and possessive of the other dog. He's playful and bossy with cats. Because he has shown territorial and resource guarding tendencies, he would do best in an adult-only home, or one with children teen-aged or above. He will greatly benefit from group training classes and most especially private lessons for this behavior. He's smart and treat motivated and should do well with proper and consistent correction and reinforcement. Quincy would love a fenced yard to run, run, run in, but daily leash walks (which he loves) for exercise, business and adventure would work, too. Puzzle toys and games will keep that active canine mind busy. He can be quite hyper in the car and has only ridden crated. He is crate trained and walks well on leash, but has not had any house training at this time.

Quincy's Backstory: He was owner surrendered to our Mississippi rescue partner because though the husband loved him, the wife did not. This may account for some of his quirky habits of being territorial and of latching onto other dogs over female humans.
