How cute is this little muffin?!
Sawyer's a sweet little guy who does well with other dogs, ignores cats, and he's quiet! His real name is Cepheus and he does know and respond to this name. He looks to be a Yorkshire Terrier mix born around the middle of January 2018. He's pretty typical of small terriers in that he's pretty active, and would do best in a home with older, respectful children. He's currently working on his house training (he's currently wearing a belly band while he learns not to mark in the house) and crate training (he's not currently a fan); he does fine on a leash. He rides well in a car and would love to be your errand buddy and road trip sidekick! He's eager to please and smart so obedience classes should be a breeze. Though he doesn't necessarily need a fenced yard, Sawyer will need daily leash walks for exercise, business and adventure. Puzzle toys and games will help stimulate his canine mind and keep it sharp. He really likes being a couch potato and loves sleeping with his human(s) in bed.
This little sweetheart was surrendered to our Tennessee rescue partner by his owner who has health issues and can no longer care for Sawyer. Have a lap that needs warming and a box full of dog toys that need playing with? Sawyer's your dude! Fill out an application today and his people will get right back to you!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
