This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.

Say hello to Zeek!
He is about a year old and appears to be a Lab/Heeler mix Zeek is a friendly young pup and we think he would make a great family dog. He has a playful and outgoing nature -- goofy and lovable while also even-tempered. He loves to go for walks and play with toys, but after running around for a little while, he's happy to snuggle and relax.
As with most new dogs, we'd recommend that Zeek and his new human(s) attend some pet obedience classes together as a great way to bond as a family. You can work together to master some necessary training, while giving Zeek time to socialize with other pups. Zeek and his brother, Amos, were part of a litter that was rescued at about 10 weeks old. They are both ready to find their forever homes! Come meet Zeek at the Always Adopt event!

Medical Note: A littermate of this dog tested positive and was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. This dog has also been preventatively treated and currently shows no symptoms of demodectic mange. Please note that demodex can have a hereditary component and/or flare up in any dog in times of stress (e.g., transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc.). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a personal or family history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption or until 18 months of age. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange:  http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet-health-information/article/animal-health/mange-demodectic-in-dogs/741 . Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.

Medical Note: This dog tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia while in SOS foster care. This does not mean that this dog had ehrlichia. This dog is/has been asymptomatic while in SOS care and was preventatively treated with a 28- day course of doxycycline. Please see here for more information on ehrlichia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Ehrlichiosis_(canine). Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.
