Meet Opie!
Opie is an affectionate, eager to please, even tempered, intelligent, and laidback boy. He appears to be a Pointer, Lab, and Beagle mix. He is great meeting and visiting with kids of all ages, but would prefer a household that does not have resident young children or too much chaos. He is house trained, crate trained, and does great on leash. He is a little shy when first meeting new dogs but quickly warms up to where they become best friends.
Opie loves to go for rides in the car, either tethered or in a crate. He loves to chill with one of his toys or sitting on your lap! He would do well in an apartment or in house with or without a fenced yard, and is fine being left alone - but be prepared for many kisses from him when you get home.
Opie is a sweet and happy boy who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make his dream come true? Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family!
Opie’s story: His former owner became quite ill and could no longer care for him and he is now living with a loving foster family.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
