Miss Hazel will melt her head into the hands of anyone she meets!
She is a well-mannered and gentle young lady! She appears to be a Bluetick Coonhound who loves attention and affection. She has a way of looking at you with those sad hound dog eyes that will make you want to take her home! She's a natural confidence builder with other dogs, large and small. She is very outgoing and has brought confidence out of her pen mates at the shelter who have moved on to adoption. She is very social and calm around people of all ages including young children. She is leash trained and is working on crate training. Since she currently lives in a shelter, we aren’t sure if she is house trained.
Hazel loves being outside, either playing with her toys, playing with other dogs, or playing with you! When she is not outside playing she is happy to chill with a toy.
Hazel is a smart, sweet, gentle, and happy girl who loves meeting new people and just wants a loving forever home. Can you make her dream come true? Fill out an application today and let her know that you'd love to have her join your family!
Hazel’s story: Hazel was found as a stray running down a road in Mississippi and is now living in a shelter.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
