The Truck Stop Girls' parentage is a little sketchy.
But their joie-de-vivre is not in question! These adorable pups were brought to the shelter of our Mississippi rescue partner in a box at only 4 weeks old. They were able to drink formula when they arrived so it was evident they had just weened from their mom before they were caught. At first it seemed as though they might be Beagle puppies, but we're now guessing maybe a Hound/Shepherd mix which would make them more likely to be on the large side of medium when full grown - but that's a bit sketchy, too. They're typical puppies who love to do all those typical puppy things: play, chew, play, sleep and play some more! House training has not yet begun, crate training is in the works, and they will definitely need more work on the finer points of leash walking. Puppy training classes will be lots of fun with any one of them!
Kwik is one of the two tricolored pups - she has less white on her and unlike her sister Abbyland, her ears are so not under control - they look as though they're directing traffic! She gets along fine with other dogs, all the different sized humans she's met and though we're unsure about cats, she does get along fine with dogs smaller than herself. She rides well crated in the car and though always ready for action, is just as happy to settle in for some cuddling. Kwik's left the box behind and can't wait to stretch out on a big comfy dog bed! If you'd like to make your home her last stop, fill out an application today! Her people will get right back to you!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
