Yoda is a smart boy!
He is a gentle and playful dude looking for a forever home! We are thinking he is a Lhasa Apso mix. The Lhasa Apso originated on the Himalayan plateau in the area of Tibet. They were domesticated and actively bred perhaps as long ago as 800 BC, which makes the Lhasa Apso one of the oldest recognized breeds in the world!
Yoda is a handsome boy that loves other dogs, is okay with cats, and used to live with kids and was great with them. He loves meeting new people and going new places, especially in the car where he does great on a tether. The only thing he doesn’t like is crates! He will reluctantly go in but will quickly start to bark, which is the only time he seems to bark, the rest of the time he is a pretty quiet boy. He is great on the leash and is almost house trained and has had just a few accidents, mainly in new situations or surroundings. He is always ready for action but is equally happy to chill with one of his toys or cuddling with you!
Yoda is an affectionate, intelligent, playful boy who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make his dream come true? Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family!
Yoda’s story: He was surrendered by his owner who got him as a pet for their family but had four small children. They wanted the children to have a dog but then decided they did not have the time for the responsibilities of owning a pet and surrendered him to a shelter. He is now living with a loving foster family.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
