Top O’ The Morning from the St. Patrick Pups!
Charm, Clover, Dublin, Emerald, Ireland, Lucky, Patrick, and Wish are beautiful playful pups looking for a forever home. We are thinking these bonny lads and lassies are a Jack Russell Terrier and Border Collie mix. With a combination like that you are sure to have an intelligent and active companion! Ireland has longer black and white hair, black over both eyes with black dot on top of her forehead. Her right ear is black, left ear is white with black speckles, dark black freckles on her nose, bigger black speckles on feet, and her body has white with a few bigger black speckles.
These pups are just getting started on house training, crate training, and leash training, but we have a feeling they will pick up these skills pretty quickly as they are so smart. Puppy training classes would be perfect for these doggies, and a lot of fun for you! The St. Patrick pups' foster mom says they are very sweet but can be a bit rambunctious and rowdy when playing together. However, when meeting new people or other dogs they can be a little shy. They love to play with kids but do play rough and potential adopters with young children should keep this in mind. They love toys and are happy to chill with a toy when not playing with you! They're pretty quiet but you might hear them bark when playing or to get your attention.
Ireland would love to find a forever family who has lots of time and patience to raise a puppy properly, and who has lots of extra time for loving and cuddles. If you are looking for a puppy, Ireland may be perfect for you! Fill out an application today and let her know that you'd love to have her join your family!
St. Patrick Pups’ story: The litter was planned, but the owner wasn’t planning on eight puppies. The parents plus eight very busy pups would be a lot for any household and the owner asked for help from a local loving shelter to assist in finding these lads and lassies forever homes.
Medical Note: This dog was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. The dog has responded well to this treatment. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months or until 18 months of age. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange: http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet-health-information/article/animal-health/mange-demodectic-in-dogs/741. Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
