Bacon will steal your heart!

She is an affectionate and playful girl looking for a forever home.  We are thinking Bacon is a Terrier mix.

She is a little shy and skittish when meeting new people but with a little time (and treats!) she will be your new best friend.  She loves other dogs and would benefit from another well-balanced dog in her new home. We don’t think she has had any training and a potential adopter should be prepared to give her regular exercise, a structured routine, work with her on basic commands, take her to group training classes, and couple all of these things with lots of praise and treats. Just be prepared for many kisses!

Bacon would do best in a relatively calm household without too much foot traffic. She would probably not be good in a household with young children, but we think she would be ok with older (10+) kids.  We currently do not know how Bacon is with kitties.

She is a smart girl and is currently being house trained and doing pretty good.  Crate training is also underway and she is making progress but is barking when crated and a potential adopter should keep this in mind, esp. if they live in an apartment or have close neighbors. She is also working on leash training and so far, so good, but does need to be coaxed a little. She is great with women, but we don’t know how she is with men. We suspect she will be fine with guys as she is such an affectionate girl.

Bacon’s Story: Bacon came in with her sister (or mother) Eggs. Both were very skinny and fearful. They've built up weight since coming in and Bacon is doing much better with her social skills.
