Sammy Suave’ is a handsome boy!

He is also sweet, gentle, and sometimes a little goofy!  We are thinking Sammy is a German Shepherd and Lab mix. He is a happy go lucky puppy who is ready for the next adventure. He has a thick fluffy coat that isn’t showing up well in the photo and has beautiful white sparkly teeth. 

He is a little reserved when meeting new people and going new places but settles quickly. He is housetrained but does need crate training.  He is great in the car (once you set guidelines that he can’t help you drive!) and walks good on the leash and would absolutely love to join you on a walk, run, or hike. He loves to play in the water so trips to a lake, river, or beach would be a blast for him and you! He is always ready for action and is also happy to chill with a chew toy or bone.  Sammy will need regular exercise to keep him (and his people happy), as well as basic training.

He is playful with other dogs, wants to make friends with cats, and is great with kids both young and old. Sammy's best buds are his foster mom's nieces who come to play with him. He does bark a bit mainly when playing or when he is left alone outside, but does quickly settle. Just be prepared for many kisses when you get home!

Sammy’s Story:  His foster mom says Sammy is a really good boy that just has not had the best luck to start his life. He was a stray that followed a family home who tried to find his family but none was to be found.  They were told by a lot of people he was roaming around on his own for over one month. The family loved Sammy but couldn’t keep him as their landlord did not allow dogs.  He was set to move into a shelter when an organization rescued him.  He is now living with a foster family who is looking for a loving forever home that Sammy deserves.
