Barney loves everyone he meets!
He is also playful, sweet, and eager to please. We are thinking this handsome boy is a Wirehaired Fox Terrier mix. He’s an affectionate little guy that is full of energy and looking for his forever home. He loves playing with dogs, in fact his best friends are the four dogs he lives with at his foster home. He has mixed opinions on cats, sometimes he is playful with them, other times he wants to bark and chase them. He is sweet and playful with women, but we don’t know how he is with men. We suspect he will be fine with guys as he is such a gentle and even-tempered boy. We don’t know how he is with kids, although he has met a few kids on his walks with his foster mom, and is friendly to them. Fox Terriers can be high energy dogs and a potential adopter should keep this in mind when introducing Barney to new people, especially men and kids.

Barney for the most part is housetrained, but has had a few accidents. He does pretty well in his crate where he spends his days when his foster mom is at work, but will bark a little when initially crated. He is calm in the car and loves to look out the window. He is good on the leash and would love to join you on a walk, jog, or hike. He does bark some; mainly when playing with other dogs, to get your attention, and sometimes at other dogs – his way of saying “let’s play!”
