Cavalier is a handsome boy!
He is also sweet, quiet, and playful. We are thinking this laid-back dude is a Yorkshire Terrier (aka Yorkie) mix. Did you know Yorkie's are one of the smallest terriers? The breed was developed during the 19th century in Yorkshire, England.
Cavalier can be a little timid and shy especially when meeting new people or going new places but quickly settles in and wants to be your new best friend. We think he would do best in a calm and relatively quiet household. He is friendly with other dogs and tends to prefer dogs his own size. We don’t yet know how Cavalier is around cats or children, but do know he is a calm and gentle boy.
He is house trained and crate trained, he
sleeps well in his crate at night and will go to his crate with the door open for naps throughout the day. He also w
alks great on the leash and is calm and well behaved in the car and would love to go for a ride or walk with you! He is a quiet boy who rarely barks and would be great in an apartment with regular walks. Cavalier is a playful boy and also loves to chill, preferably on your lap!
Cavalier is a warmhearted boy who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make his dream come true? Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family!
Cavalier’s Story: We don’t know a lot about him other than was found roaming loose around Lake Cavalier, Mississippi and thus his name. He is now living with a loving foster family and doing great!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
