Say “Howdy Partner” to Charlie Cowdog!
This little buckaroo is a sweet and playful pup. His brothers and sisters have all been adopted and now it’s his turn. We are thinking this even-tempered pup is a Heller mix. Heelers are used in cattle herding and got their name from how they move reluctant cattle by nipping at their heels!
Charlie loves meeting new people and going new places. He is playful with other dogs and seems okay with cats. While he hasn’t lived with children, he is playful with kids in his neighborhood. He loves toys and is happy to chill with a squeaky toy when not playing with you! Gentle and sometimes a little goofy, he is a pretty quiet boy but you might hear him bark when playing with other dogs. As with all puppies, he needs work on house training and walking on a leash but has started crate training and so far, so good!
Charlie would love to find a forever family who has lots of time and patience to raise a puppy properly, and who has lots of extra time for loving and cuddles. If you are looking for a puppy, Charlie may be perfect for you! Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family!
Charlie’s story: The owner of his mom initially decided to keep one pup (Charlie) from the litter but later decided to put him up for adoption.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence.
